What first work should be done by a new UPSC aspirant?

This question itself qualified to be first thing to be done for new upsc aspirants…………………………………

Now ask yourself….

How much time (years) you can devote for upsc/upsc like exam.?
How will you manage the financial need,whether parents can support for 3–5 years or not.?
How much you want to be IAS officer?
What is level of your motivation and your parents (because it is very necessary that your parents or someone who finance you must not only support you but should be in positive state of mind during bad times).?
Why you want only to qualify UPSC?
How much time you can devote for it (4/8/12/16 hrs) every day?
Do you have any backup plan if you failed in upsc?
Do you know someone who can guide you?
Do you know what is the right study material for each subject for upsc?
do you have seen last 10 year old question papers of upsc pre and mains exam?
Do you have capability to understand real need of exam/pattern?
